Do I Need a Second Opinion on My Diagnosis?

consultation-female-patientIt is important to us that you feel comfortable with your treatment plan. Whether you are coming to our office for urinating frequency or pain with intercourse, it is important that you fully understand your condition and are aware of the different choices for treatment. Dr. Davis will always listen to your concerns, will offer various treatment plans, and will help you understand why he suggests the care that he does.

It is your right, as a patient, to ask for a second opinion. Dr. Davis understands that some patients prefer to have another doctor confirm the diagnosis. He understands that some ladies would like to talk things over with their primary doctors or family doctors before committing to any treatment plan. He understands that thinking about possible surgeries can seem scary and you might emotionally need a second opinion to help you feel ready. If you ever feel as though you would like to have a second opinion, talk to our office about obtaining necessary test results and paperwork. Our office will never become upset if you ask for a second opinion and might be able to steer you in the direction of another professional.

Although we are incredibly confident in Dr. Davis’ ability to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, we will only continue a treatment plan when you are ready and give your consent. Let us know how we can help.
